Awentsbury is a 19th century Victorian Country House Hotel. Set in its own grounds in peaceful surroundings, it offers comfortable accommodation close to Birmingham University and only 2.5 miles from the city centre. Twin bedrooms with garden views, each with its own ensuite bathroom, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and trouser press. Staying here offers easy access to Birmingham University, the University Hospitals, Cadbury World, the Indoor Arena, Convention Centre and the NEC. There is also a vintage car collection to view with models dating back as far as the 1903 Curved Dash Oldsmobile.

Built as a private House in 1882, Awentsbury has been used as a hotel since the war in 1940. The Awentsbury offers a traditional English breakfast as well as a Continental option, served in the dining room from 7.45am until 9.00am at an additional charge. Please book as an upgrade when booking your bedroom. There are a good selection of eateries within a 10-minute walk, ranging from traditional pub food to Indian and Italian restaurants and fish and chip shops. Guests can relax in the garden. Arrival information

Check In: From 12.00 noon Check Out: 11.00 am Directions: From Junction 6 on the M6 follow signs to Birmingham city centre, carry on straight, do not turn off the main traffic flow, take the flyover and all the tunnels. This will bring you out on the south side of the city on the A38 south - this is the Bristol Road. Carry on along the dual carriageway for two miles passing BBC Pebble Mill on your left. At the end of the dual carriageway you will see a fire station on your left, take the first left after the fire station into Bournbrook Road, then first left again into Oakfield Rd, then first right into Serpentine Road, halfway up on the left hand side. From M40: Take M42 west towards M5, at Junction No. 3 (Not 3A) take the A435 north to Birmingham. Carry on towards Kings Heath. Just before Kings Heath turn left at the traffic lights into Howard Road, at T junction turn left into Vicarage road, then first right into Cartland Road to T junction traffic lights, right into Pershore Road, 5th left into Selly Park Road, and straight on at the roundabout into Serpentine Road. Third building down on the right, 3 doors after the Church. By Train: Birmingham New Street is 2.5 miles from the hotel.
