The University campus is located in Ayr, on the West Coast of Scotland. The town is set amongst some of Scotland’s most impressive scenery and looks out on the Firth of Clyde, with the peaks of Arran in the foreground and the Mull of Kintyre in the background. Packed with historical sites, Ayrshire’s visitor attractions and cultural and leisure pursuits include unspoiled beaches and rolling hills, castles, a racecourse, and of course, golf courses. The town also offers a thriving collection of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, meaning you won't be short of something to do in Ayr. Ayr offers modern, stylish accommodation in a woodland setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the main campus building. Comprising 194 ensuite rooms, accommodation consists of large ensuite bedrooms, spacious and well-equipped kitchen and lounge area in each flat, 2 data points and laundry room facility. Each flat typically consists of 5 ensuite rooms with a shared open plan kitchen/lounge facility. There are 4 accessible units for disabled guests and also 6 studio flats available.

The kitchens are equipped with microwave, kettle, hob, oven and fridge/freezer. Confectionary vending machines in the residence next to the common room. There are also many bars, restaurants and eating establishments in the local town. There is a common room with pool table, football table, big screen television, Xbox and vending machines. Laundry facilities opened 24/7. The laundry area is located on the ground floor of block 3, same block the main reception is located. A full wash will cost £2.00 and dryers £1.00 24 hour security and CCTV. All the rooms have internet access.

Arrival information

Check In: From 2.00pm Check Out: By 11.00am Please report to reception located at block 3 to check in. Directions: Paisley and Glasgow are just over forty minutes away by train on the west coast lines. By Car: From Glasgow take the M8 then the A77. From the South, A74, A70, A713 onto A77 into Ayr. There is limited free parking at the residence, no parking reservations are allowed and is subject to space availability on arrival. By Train: Ayr Station is 15 minutes walk from Ayr Residence and there are buses at the station. By Bus: The X77Glasgow Prestwick Airport is served by Stagecoach Western X77. Express Service and operates to/from Glasgow Buchanan Street Station. This is a direct service which stops outside the airport on the A79 By Air: Prestwick International Airport is only 10 minutes from Ayr and has its own train station and Glasgow Airport in 40 minutes away.
