Whilst keeping its rural character it offers every modern comfort in a twin or double room with en suite bath and shower room. It also has its own wooden sun deck that on warm sunny days is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and plan the day ahead or relax with an evening sundowner. In a leafy area with pleasant views of the surrounding downs and countryside the accommodation is completely self-contained with its own entrance. The first mention of the Manor of Horringford was in 1386 although there is a disputed mention of the Mill at Oveingford in the Doomsday Book. Blandings includes the oldest extant part of the property. It was a wainshed where farm carts and equipment was kept. A pig sty was added in 1928 and the whole converted in the 1990s A Full English Breakfast is served at a time to suit. Horringford is a working farm. Vegetable and Fruit boxes are distributed throughout the Island on a weekly basis. Erica's Nomemade preserves are made here and are available for sale to guests at a discount Guest are very welcome to wander round the grounds. There are a number of local footpaths adjoining the property. Cycles and equipment are available for hire in the village and can be delivered to Blandings ready for your use. Lock up facility for bikes. Fax machine and photocopier available.

Arrival information

Check In: 5.00pm-7.00pm Check Out: 10:00am Directions: From Newport: Follow A3056 south through Arreton past Stickworth Hall, the traffic lights and the sign for A23 cycle route. After 200 metres, just before 50mph sign, take a U turn to the left. There is a sign for Horringford Gardens. Drive down through the poplar trees and take the first turning to the right, behind the trees on your left is Blandings. First turning on left takes you down the hill to Pond Cottage. Car ferries daily from Portsmouth, Yarmouth, Lymington and Southampton to the Isle of Wight. DO NOT RELY ON SATNAVS WHICH ARE INCLINED TO TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG DESTINATION
