The first mention of the Manor of Horringford was in 1386 although there is a disputed mention of the Mill at Oveingford in the Doomsday Book. Blandings includes the oldest extant part of the property. It was a wainshed where farm carts and equipment was kept. A pig sty was added in 1928 and the whole converted in the 1990s A Full English Breakfast is served at a time to suit. Horringford is a working farm. Vegetable and Fruit boxes are distributed throughout the Island on a weekly basis. Erica's Nomemade preserves are made here and are available for sale to guests at a discount Guest are very welcome to wander round the grounds. There are a number of local footpaths adjoining the property. Cycles and equipment are available for hire in the village and can be delivered to Blandings ready for your use. Check In: 5.00pm-7.00pm Check Out: 10:00am Directions: From Newport: Follow A3056 south through Arreton past Stickworth Hall, the traffic lights and the sign for A23 cycle route. After 200 metres, just before 50mph sign, take a U turn to the left. There is a sign for Horringford Gardens. Drive down through the poplar trees and take the first turning to the right, behind the trees on your left is Blandings. First turning on left takes you down the hill to Pond Cottage. Car ferries daily from Portsmouth, Yarmouth, Lymington and Southampton to the Isle of Wight. DO NOT RELY ON SATNAVS WHICH ARE INCLINED TO TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG DESTINATION
