Dating back to 1837, this Georgian property was a private residence that has been renovated to provide all ensuite bedrooms suitable for couples and family groups of up to 6 guests. A stylish guest house, owned and run by a York family who are dedicated to make your stay comfortable in this wonderful city and can also provide you with local information and tips. You will be ideally located for exploring York and its surrounding areas being only half a mile from the city centre. York Minster is only 10 minutes’ walk away from Blossoms, while the Jorvik Viking Centre and York Dungeons are a 15-minute walk away. York Railway Station is approximately 15 minutes away on foot. Please note: There is a minimum stay of 2 nights at weekends (Fridays & Saturdays)

Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.00am daily. A full English breakfast is available at a supplement (payable locally) and is cooked freshly to order, using local products where possible. This includes teas from Taylors of Harrogate, fair-trade coffee and award-winning Masham sausages. Lighter options are also catered for. You can visit the cosy cellar lounge bar which has a wide variety of beverages including wines, spirits and beers from around the world. These include local beers from the York Brewery such as 'Minster Ale'. Also available are a variety of bar meals. Each room has a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Free wireless internet access and cheap international phone calls are also available. Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. A free private car park is provided, a bonus for somewhere so centrally located.

Arrival information

Directions: Located in Bootham, off the A19, approximately half a mile from the city centre. Look out for a footbridge crossing the road and the hotel is opposite the prestigious St Peters School. The car park is at the rear of the property and is accessed from Burton Stone Lane which has the 'Burton Stone' pub on the corner. Nearest Station: York a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride.
