Dolgun Uchaf was built in the 15th Century, this once medieval Hall House, has kept much of its traditional charm. Located about one and a half miles from the market town of Dolgellau, Dolgun Uchaf is a small farm, offering bed and breakfast in guesthouse lodging, with views of the mountains and excellent walking, including the famous torrent walk that passes only a few hundred metres from the establishment. Dolgun Uchaf is an award winning 4* Bed and Breakfast providing ensuite accommodation.

Dolgun Uchaf dates back to the 15th Century, where it started life as a medieval hall house. In the 17th Century, Ellis Morris and family settled here and that is when Dolgun Uchaf started its history as a Quaker meeting house. George Fox visited the area in 1657 and converted many locals to Quakerism, and despite many Quakers being prosecuted for their beliefs, Ellis Morris continued to hold meetings in Dolgun. Dolgun Uchaf features in the novel Ystafell Ddirgel (The Secret Room). Breakfast is buffet style followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice and is served between 8.00am - 9.15am. Evening meals are available between September until the end of March. Please request this in the Additional Information section of the booking form. Free broadband access is available.
