Ednam House is situated on the banks of the River Tweed in Kelso, an ideal place to use as a base for exploring the Borders, the Berwickshire Coast and North Northumberland. Ednam House is a fine example of Georgian Architecture with many original features and antique furniture and furnishings. James Dickson was a "Kelso" lad, who through mischief in his youth broke the water well in the middle of the town - Wanting to escape the authorities he ran off to London, where he decided to make his fortune and promised himself that one day he would come back to Kelso and build the most beautiful house in town....which he did. So in 1761 the house was erected and no expense was spared. Full Scottish breakfast is included in the price and is served freshly to order each morning. Relax in the informal Ednam Bar where you can enjoy just a drink, lunch or dinner daily using finest quality local produce. Guests can also dine in the panoramic Riverside Restaurant with views over the river.
