This luxury boutique hotel in Edinburgh city centre is set within central Edinburgh’s UNESCO World Heritage Site with Nira Caledonia just a short stroll from Princes Street. Surrounded by cobbled streets and neo-classical elegance, the hotel is well positioned for the many things to do in Edinburgh and also for restful relaxation. Ideal as Edinburgh festival accommodation and as a year-round base to explore a capital city steeped in history yet alive with modern, cosmopolitan culture. Offering spacious bedrooms with each room and suite within the hotel offering unique character, period features and quirky charm. At the same time, each is equipped with the latest in high-tech hospitality. The beds feature 2000 pocket springs with deep sumptuous fillings and the pillows are duckfeather and down. Book early for the festivals and tattoo, as our Edinburgh fringe festival accommodation is much in demand. Take a short stroll to famous Princes Street, then visit the castle, Royal Mile, Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace. In a period residence that was once home to Christopher North, a renowned 19th century essayist, bon viveur and hedonist. The property is currently undergoing renovation. One block of the townhouse is closed and includes the reception, bar and restaurant. Breakfast will be served to you in your bedroom during this time. Some bedrooms have access to a private garden. All rooms and suites have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen multi-channel television, DVD player, iPod docking station, direct-dial telephone, a Nespresso machine serving a range of Grands Crus coffee and 24 hour room service. Extra beds are only available in the suites.

Arrival information

Check In: From 3.00pm Check Out: By 11.00am Directions: Check-in is in building No. 10. By Car: Take the 1st exit and stay on Biggar Rd/A702, continue to follow A702. Turn left onto Earl Grey St/A700. The A700 turns right and becomes Princes Street. Princes St turns left and becomes S Charlotte Street. Continue onto Charlotte Square. N Charlotte Street turns right and becomes Albyn Place. Continue onto Queen Street. Turn left onto Queen St Gardens W. Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Heriot Row. Turn right onto India Street. Turn left onto Gloucester Place and your destination will be on the right. There is no dedicated guest parking but metered parking is available directly outside the hotel (Free at weekends, £2.80 per hour Monday – Friday 8.30am- 5.30pm. By Train: Edinburgh Waverley Station is approx. 1 mile from the hotel. By Air: Edinburgh Airport (8 miles / 12km).
