Storm Jameson Court, part of Charles Morris Hall, is a contemporary residence, built in 2010 to a very high standard, and rated as 4 star by VisitEngland. The building is at the heart of the main campus, close to the city centre. The impressive foyer has the reception desk, a games room with table tennis and pool, and a large-screen TV. The ensuite bedrooms (showers) offer Superior Single beds for single occupancy. However, should you require double occupancy, then please contact us. Another feature is shared use of a TV lounge area. Guests enjoy free broadband Internet access. The building also offers 20 accessible bedrooms, however please note that Mobility adapted rooms are only available during the summer vacation. Storm Jameson Court also carries the Gold award for Sustainable Green Tourism.

Storm Jameson Court was opened in 2010, and was built to a very high specification, with students of the future in mind, as well as conference delegates and short break guests. This high quality residence is named after Margaret Storm Jameson (1891-1986), an alumnus of the University who went on to write more than 45 books. One of the main criteria was to produce a highly accessible building. Again, this supports the University's accessible aims to offer university education to everyone equally. But it also placed in Leeds a unique building, with 20 accessible bedrooms, which would appeal to any individuals or groups, who normally have to make do with unadapted, standard hotel bedrooms. The bedrooms are sold on a room-only basis (equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities), but a wide range of self-serve breakfast fare is available for purchase from the University Refectory, just 100 metres from Storm Jameson Court. For full details on the Refectory and the Coffee Bars at the University of Leeds visit this link: http://gfal.leeds.ac.uk/where-to-eat/ Guests have access to fridges in the adjacent kitchens but please note, that cooking is not possible. The nearby Faversham Arms pub serves lunches and evening meals and a 10 minute walk will take you to restaurants, bars and pubs in Leeds city centre. Storm Jameson Court is one of a group of buildings forming Charles Morris Hall. It is sited on the attractive and historic campus of the University of Leeds in a very attractive area alongside tree-lined Victorian and Edwardian streets. The campus has many fine buildings, from the wonderful Victorian Great Hall, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and the art deco Parkinson Building to the contemporary Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building. The grounds of the University are open for guests to stroll around and enjoy tree-fringed piazzas and avenues, or to relax by the fountains at the southern end of the campus by the Roger Stevens Building. The University campus has many fully accessible routes to all areas, with ramps and automatic or electric doors to buildings. FREE Internet access. FREE ACCESS to The Edge Sports Centre, which has a swimming pool with sauna and steam room, plus a large fitness suite, and sports facilities. Please follow this link for opening times and other information on the Sports Centre: http://sport.leeds.ac.uk/the-edge/ PARKING: There is NO parking, only a drop-off bay at Storm Jameson Court. However, there is on-street parking in the streets around the residence, which is free at night times and weekends - BUT PLEASE NOTE THE LAMP POST SIGNS FOR TIME RESTRICTIONS IN ORDER TO AVOID COLLECTING A TICKET! There is limited parking on campus, which is available on a first come, first served basis, please visit this link for details: http://carparking.leeds.ac.uk/visitors/. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pre-book this parking. To use this car park, please go to the University's main entrance, by the Parkinson Building on Woodhouse Lane LS2 9JT.
