Set in the beautiful village of East Coker, only 8 minutes from Yeovil - The Helyar Arms offers a rustic charm with modern comforts, including WiFi access throughout. A charming 15th Century Inn with a beamed bar is the perfect place to enjoy a real ale or award winning food. East Coker is a ideal base from which to explore the Heritage South Coast, including Dorchester, Glastonbury and Bath. To reflect its rich heritage, the Helyar Arms aims to provide a rustic and relaxed atmosphere, with traditional entertainment in the form of a skittle alley, an inviting open log fire in the beamed bar and locally sourced home-cooked food, prepared to order. In the warmer months you can also enjoy a drink in the pleasant garden.

The famous poet T.S Eliot was from the village of East Coker, and the explorer William Dampier was born here in 1651. East Coker is a charming little village, set in open countryside, just outside the town of Yeovil. It is an ancient place that has connections with Queen Elizabeth Ist and is full of elegant properties, nearly all of which are built from local stone. Full English and continental breakfasts included. Award winning restaurant using seasonal food. Food is served every day from 12.00pm - 3.00pm & 6.30pm - 9.30pm. The bar is open for drinks Monday to Saturday 11.00am - 3.00pm & 6.00pm - 11.00pm. Recent food awards are: AA Rosette Award for culinary excellence, 2003-2010, Good Food Guide 2005-2010 and best Pudding of the year 2010. BBQ and picnic area. Adjoining rooms and cots available.
