The Old Barn is set in the heart of the quiet rural village of Penmark. From here you have access to Cardiff, the Brecon Beacons, the Heritage Coast, Cardiff Wales Airport and other areas of South Wales. The location allows you to enjoy a good range of pubs and restaurants, including one of the oldest pubs in Wales. It has two en suite bedrooms, one double and one twin which are totally self contained. Both bedrooms have the benefit of a TV with freeview, radio/alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer along with ironing facilties in the kitchen area. You are also welcome to use the kitchen facilities during your stay. Children are very welcome and there is a cot and high chair available.

The Old Barn dates back to the 17th Century when it was used as farm buildings for the adjacent Croft. This charming, recently converted self contained barn combines many original features such as oak beams and slate floors with the modern up to date facilities the modern traveller has come to expect. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30am-9.00am. Whether it be a light continental breakfast or a hearty traditional Welsh breakfast, The Old Barn B and B will ensure you are set up for your day to explore the area. The use of all the kitchen amenities is provided on a self catering basis. This, coupled with the range of the local pubs nearby and restaurants will ensure the flexibility you may wish to enjoy during your stay. Each bedroom includes the following facilities; TV with Freeview, radio / alarm clock, free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities and hair dryer in each room, and an iron in the kitchen. You are welcome to use the kitchen facilities during your stay. Children are very welcome and we have a cot and high chair available.

Arrival information

Check In: from 2.00pm Check Out: 11.00am Directions: Leave M4 at Junction 33 on to A4232 towards Cardiff. Leave at the exit signposted A4050 and airport. At roundabout take right turning (4th Exit) onto A48 signposted Cowbridge and St Nicholas. Follow road for approx 3 miles and turn left onto A4226 to the Airport. Follow road for approximately 5 miles and at the roundabout turn right onto B4265 to Llantwit Major and Airport. At first roundabout bear right onto B4265. At next roundabout turn right to Penmark. Follow the road into village. The Old Barn is located next door to the Six Bells Pub on the left-hand side of the road. Nearest Train Station: Rhoose or Barry
