Westminster College is situated in the heart of Cambridge making it a good location for a leisure break or business trip. The college is easily accessible from major road networks. The city centre and its main attractions are within a 3-minute walk from the college, making this an ideal place to visit. The college has two self-contained fully furnished cottages on site, on a self-catering basis, which are ideal for couples and are available for short or long stays. Cottages are available for a minimum of three nights. The cottages are serviced on a daily basis between 9.00am and 1.00pm. If you wish to cancel your room being serviced, please inform the College Office and display your ‘Do not disturb sign’ on the door. During your stay, the bed linen will be changed on the third day of your stay and towels will be changed if placed in the bath. On-site car parking is, whilst free, very limited and is operated on a Pay and Display basis between 5pm and 8am. There is no parking available between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Where possible, guests are advised to utilise Madingley Road Park and Ride or alternative public car parks in the nearby vicinity.

Westminster College buildings were built in 1899 by the Presbyterian Church of England, to replace their existing one in London. The move to Cambridge was largely at the urging of two remarkable twin sisters, Margaret and Agnes Smith, whose portraits now hang in the main dining hall. The college is a Grade II listed building. Almost all the original work survives, with modern facilities sympathetically introduced. The College is today a Theological College affiliated with Cambridge University with some 50 students; some in training for ministry in the Church. Although the cottages are self-catering, breakfast is served daily within the main college dining hall. Subject to availability and providing 24 hours’ notice is given. Guests staying in the cottages can book breakfast in the main college dining hall at a cost of £9.95 per person for a full English or continental buffet breakfast. Please enquire on arrival. Dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance. Breakfast is served between 7.30am - 9.00am on weekdays, 7.30am - 9.30am on Saturday and 8.00am - 9.30am on Sunday. Furthermore, depending on the date of your stay, lunch and dinner may be available at an additional cost. If you would like more information, please make your request in the additional information section of the booking form. The Chefs take great pride in sourcing the finest seasonal ingredients from local suppliers, in a bid to actively promote sustainability. We have been awarded the highest rating of “Excellent 5 Stars” from Cambridge City Council for our food hygiene and cleanliness standards. Many good restaurants, cafés and shops are within easy walking distance. The cottages are located within the back gardens of the college. The gardens are furnished with picnic benches and guests staying in the cottages are welcome to use the grounds subject to availability. Free wireless internet connection in all cottages - please request a code from reception. Coin operated launderette facilities and luggage storage available within the main college building.
