Woodacre Bed & Breakfast, Arundel

Woodacre is a traditional family home with an adjoining cottage which can accommodate up to 11 guests. Located between Walberton, Fontwell & Slindon, Woodacre has great access to the A27 which allows visitors to easily reach nearby towns of Arundel & Chichester, also Goodwood, the sea and the South Down National Park. Larger towns of Portsmouth or Brighton are only 30 or 40mins away whilst Heathrow Airport is approximately 1 ½ hours & Gatwick Airport only 1 hour. Accommodation is available in well equipped bedrooms and are arranged as a double ensuite, twin, triple and family standard bedrooms which share facilities.

Breakfast is served in either the conservatory or dining room which both overlook the garden. The breakfast menu includes a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, tea and coffee & toast. A selection of hot dishes range from a full English Breakfast (bacon, sausage, fried egg, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, fried bread & black pudding), Smoked Salmon & eggs, Eggs Benedict or Croissants, all cooked in an Aga, freshly to order. Special diets can be catered for on request The property is set in an acre of garden which is surrounded by woodland and is available for guests’ use. All bedrooms are equipped with a tea and coffee maker, hairdryer, wireless internet access and television. Cots can be provided for infants under 2 years, please advise in the additional information section of the booking form if required. The property has a large private drive with plenty of parking space with room for trailers and large vehicles.

Arrival information

Directions: By Car: Coming from the West (Chichester, Portsmouth etc.) Travelling in an easterly direction on the A27 travel past Chichester (Chichester By-pass) and follow directions for Arundel, Brighton etc. After approx. 6 miles you come to a roundabout at Fontwell (Fontwell Race Course will be on the right) and you will see a Shell Garage and Burger King Restaurant on the other side of the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit sign posted to Fontwell Village (Arundel Road). Go straight on at the first mini roundabout, over caution ramps in the road and straight on at the next mini roundabout. After approx. 200 metres the road bears left and joins the A27, but just before this junction you will see a road to your right. Take this road (still Arundel Road), there is a garage on the right called S&G, and another called Westbourne Motors, Woodacre is the first house on the right with a high green hedge after these garages. Coming from the East (Arundel, Brighton etc.) Travelling in a westerly direction on the A27 travel past Arundel (Cathedral and Castle on your right) and follow directions for Chichester, Portsmouth etc. Continue along A27 passing turnoff to Yapton, Tye Lane, and a slip road to Fordingbridge Engineering. Take the next slip road on your left sign posted Fontwell Village, which is just before a large green roundabout sign Turn immediately left again into Arundel Road passing S&G garage and Westbourne Motors on your right. Woodacre is the first house on the right with a high green hedge after these garages. Nearest Train Station: Barnham (8 minutes away by taxi or the owners are happy to collect guests if arranged on booking).
