Elegant, unique, Georgian family house with romantic four poster bedrooms, half testers, doubles and a south facing single which are all ensuite. The entire establishment is furnished with antiques and decorated with trompe l’oeil painting. The guest house has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and is situated in a quiet elevated location on the southern edge of the city, looking down across Bath’s world-famous crescents, churches and surrounding hills, with a 20 minute walk down to the city centre. Please note for those with allergies that there is a dog and a few cats living on the premises (downstairs only). Pets are accepted by prior arrangement. Well behaved children are very welcome. Please note that a two night minimum stay apply to Friday and Saturday night.

Bloomfield House is one of the finest Georgian family houses overlooking what is arguably England‘s most beautiful city. It has a fascinating history, having been the home, a century ago, of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Bath. When the house was originally designed in the 1790s, three elliptical rooms, one above the other, were created. The middle one was named the Cheese Room, and probably stored cheeses from the same nearby farms which now, once again, supply the establishment with local traditional fare. Enjoy a traditional English breakfast cooked using fresh ingredients supplied, wherever possible, by local producers. Many of these farmers and growers trade also at Bath’s Farmers’ Market, which was co-founded by Robert Barnard-Weston, proprietor of Bloomfield House. Non-local goods such as coffee are fair-traded and/or organic. Wireless internet access is available both within the building and gardens. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers and TV's. An iron and ironing board is available upon request. Pets are welcome, please mention that you are bringing a pet when booking.
