Clayhill Hall of Residence offers up to 500 single study en-suite bedrooms over the summer months. The rooms are arranged over 3 floors of flats, with each flat containing four bedrooms and a communal kitchen. There is a coin operated laundrette and a common room with coin operated pool tables and vending machines. The Hall is situated on the outskirts of town, a 20 minute walk from Kingston Railway Station and Shopping Centre. Kingston-upon-Thames is only 30 minutes from central London by frequent rail service. Nearby are three Royal Parks and numerous historic houses and gardens. Hampton Court Palace; once occupied by Henry VIII, 17th century Ham House and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew are all accessible from this historic market town. Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and Legoland are also close-by for a fun day out with the children.
Rooms are offered on a "Room Only" basis and guests should supply their own bedding and kitchen equipment. There is free Internet access in all the bedrooms. Please ask at reception for a cable which you can use with your own device. There is ample free parking on site. Cars are left on site at owner's own risk.
By train Frequent trains run to Surbiton from London (every 12 minutes), leaving from Waterloo mainline station. On leaving the station, turn right and walk up the hill (St Mark's Hill). Continue on past the traffic lights onto Lamberts Road, passing Hollyfield School on your left. Take the second road on your right, Burney Avenue. Clayhill is located at the bottom of this road. The total walk will take approximately 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a black cab from the front of the station, which will take approximately five minutes. By bus: The following buses run to Kingston from London: 57, 65, 71, 85, 111, 131, 213, 281, 285 and 371. Surbiton is approximately 10 minutes from Kingston by one of the following local buses: 71, 281, K1, K2, K3, K4, 465, 418, 406.
