The George Hotel is a 17th Century town house in the bustling village and Harbour of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. A traditional environment of warmth and atmosphere is found in each individually designed bedroom. Meticulous attention to detail perfects a marriage of comfort and relaxation, and caters for your every need. All rooms offer full room service, bathrobes, hairdryers and direct dial telephone.

Yarmouth has the distinction of being the oldest town and seaport in the Isle of Wight. Constructed in the early years of the 12th century by the Norman Lord of the Island, the town has had an illustrious if somewhat turbulent history. It was burned down by the French at least twice, and was subject to all the fluctuations in fortune of an important port. Having survived these years, it has mellowed into a charming little town. Through the centuries The George, situated as it is close to the harbour, has been pre-eminent. Fabulous waters edge Brasserie over looking the Solent. Contemporary with European influence. Umbrellas dotting across the lawn in the summer time creating a perfect lunchtime or evening retreat. A full English breakfast is served from 8.00am-10.00am using where possible organic and local produce and includes cereals, fruit juices and fruit. Lunch is available from 12.00pm-3.00pm and Dinner from 7.00pm-10.00pm. Pretty garden continues to pebble beach. Bar and cosy Lounge with open fire during the winter months.
