The Liddell Building, an annexe of Christ Church, offers self-catering accommodation in a quiet location in East Oxford, approximately a five-minute walk from amenities and a fifteen-minute walk from the main site. Comfortable and spacious single standard rooms are available in 3 or 4 bedroom flats with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. We are unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen groups and we can only accommodate adults (aged 18 and over). This includes babies/children sharing a room with adults. (If such a booking is made you will be asked to cancel it and an admin fee will apply).

The Liddell Building was designed as a single quad and opened in 1991, as a joint development between Christ Church and Corpus Christi College. The accommodation is self-catering; each flat has a shared kitchen with dining space. Breakfast tickets (mid-August to the end of September - subject to availability): Purchase a ticket at the time of booking to experience breakfast in the unique setting of the Great Hall, Christ Church, with its stunning hammer beam roof and wonderful oil paintings. Monday – Saturday: 0730 – 0900 Sunday: 0800 – 0930 The Liddell Building is built around a beautiful lawn and adjoins the University sports ground. All guests are welcome to visit Christ Church and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the College and Cathedral (walking maps are available from the Porters Lodge). The Masters' Garden is open during daylight hours and is a lovely place to walk or sit. The Meadow, home to Christ Church's own long-horn cattle and adjacent to the river Isis, is open to the public till dusk. Find out more about Christ Church and its history here. Arrival information

Check-in from 1500 and Check-out by 1000 Check in at the Porters’ Lodge, located behind the gated entrance on Iffley Road. The lodge reception is staffed 24-hours a day. There is limited parking available for guests staying at Liddell. An additional option will be shown at the time of booking when space is available. If you have purchased a car parking ticket, please call the lodge on 01865 276999 before arrival and they will explain the location of the car park and open the gates for you. You will be given a dated pass to display on your dashboard. If you were unable to secure parking on site, details of where to park in Oxford can be found on the Oxford City Council website. Directions: By Car: From London, take the M40 from the M25 towards Birmingham/Oxford/Beaconsfield. Exit at J8 onto the A40 towards Oxford/Cheltenham. At the Headington roundabout continue straight over (2nd exit) onto the London Rd/A420 towards Headington. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Iffley Rd/A4158. Continue for 0.2 miles, the Liddell Building will be on your right, behind the blue gates and railings. From the north, head south on the M1 to junction 15a then exit onto the A43 and take the M40 south until J9. Exit at J9 and take the A41/A34 Oxford and head towards Cowley and Henley. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the Southern By-Pass Rd/A423. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Abingdon Rd/A4144. Turn right onto Weirs Lane/B4495 and continue to follow the B4495. Turn left onto Iffley Rd/A4158. Continue for 0.2 miles, the Liddell Building will be on your right, behind the blue gates and railings. From the south, head north on the A34 (or take J13 from the M4, and head north on the A34 towards Oxford). Take the exit A4144/Oxford/Ring Road. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the Southern By-Pass Rd/A423. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Abingdon Rd/A4144. Turn right onto Weirs Lane/B4495 and continue to follow the B4495. Turn left onto Iffley Rd/A4158. Continue for 0.8 miles, the Liddell Building will be on your left, behind the blue gates and railings. By Train: It is approximately a 30-minute walk between Oxford Train Station (OX1 1HS) and the Liddell Building or if you prefer, a taxi from the station would cost approximately £10.00. By Coach: The Airline bus from Heathrow/Gatwick, coaches from London Luton/London Stansted and services from London (X90, The Oxford Tube or National Express) all stop on St Clement’s, only a five-minute walk. Walk west down St Clement’s Street and turn left at ‘The Plain’ roundabout. Iffley Road is the second street on your left, just past The Cape of Good Hope Pub. Walk 200m down Iffley Road and you will find the Liddell Building on your right. The majority of other coach services stops at Gloucester Green Bus Station in central Oxford, a 25-minute walk away. By Bus: The Oxford Bus Company run a frequent service between the city centre and Iffley Road [city3/3A], the journey time is approximately 10 minutes. The nearest stop, ‘The Plain’ on Iffley Road, is only a 2-minute walk to the Liddell Building.
