The Malt House in Berkeley is a family hotel and restaurant has been awarded a 3 star rating by the AA. Situated on the edge of the Cotswold hills and ideally placed for visiting many attractions such as Berkeley Castle and Cattle Country Adventure Park (1 mile) and Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre and Newark Park (9 miles). Offering comfortable accommodation which is relaxed and intimate with rooms decorated in soft colours and natural woods and are available in a variety of room types from single, double, twins, executive and family bedrooms.
Breakfast is served midweek from 7.00am-8.30am and weekends from 8.30am-9.30am. The restaurant is on two levels, and with soft lighting, oak beams and wood panelling, making it relaxing make to enjoy a meal. Seating nearly sixty, bookings for large parties are readily accommodated. It is, in any event, always advisable to book well ahead, especially for weekends. There is an excellent selection of wines and spirits, and of course, real ales, lagers and the usual mix of stouts and ciders to choose from. Lunches are served on Saturdays and an excellent carvery roast on Sundays. Daily specials are available from the blackboard menu. All 9 individually decorated rooms feature free Wi-Fi, coffee/tea maker, toiletries, desk , television, iron/ironing board (on request), premium bedding, telephone, private bathroom, hairdryer, and daily housekeeping.
