Elegantly designed in ageless Yorkshire stone and originally part of the prestigious Outlane Golf Club, the 17th century style hotel is surrounded by three acres of beautiful gardens which include a 5-hole pitch and putt green. Offering a choice of accommodation in double, twin, executive family and four poster bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with modern facilities to make staying, comfortable while away from home. It is the ideal base for touring West Yorkshire, the Pennines and the Colne Valley, yet is just 30 minutes away from both the cities of Manchester and Leeds. The hotel is just 3 miles from Huddersfield city centre where guests can browse the shops, cafes and bars whilst taking in the wonderful architecture as the city contains one of the highest numbers of listed buildings in the country. The Old Golf House prides itself on being able to offer a personal and flexible service to guests and is more than happy to cater for children.

The Old Golf House was once a clubhouse for the Outlane Golf Club, which was founded in 1906. It was originally called Lindley Golf Club, but was given its present name soon after. The original clubhouse was out on the course near the old 6th hole, but it soon became inadequate. Fortunately, the club was able to buy an old children’s home – on “advantageous terms” – which had become vacant in about 1935. The comfortable Grangemoor Restaurant has an informal atmosphere and also looks across and opens out on to the attractive grounds. The fresh and inviting environment is the ideal location to have an enjoyable family dinner or equally a more intimate dining experience. Traditional and international dishes and served and also Sunday lunches, bar snacks, table d'hote and a la carte. Dependent on the room type booked, breakfast is either included or can be added upon arrival for an additional charge (if required). Open 7am - 9.30am Monday – Friday. 8am - 10.00am, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays. Bar Opening Hours: 10am - 12.30am, Monday – Saturday. Midday - 10.30pm Sunday. Restaurant, room service and bar food is available to order: Midday - 2pm & 6pm - 9.30pm everyday. 3 acres of landscaped gardens with 5 hole pitch & putt.
