Nestling on the banks of the River Wye and gazing over to Ross on Wye, the Wilton Court Restaurant with rooms enjoys the most idyllic location with its own riverbank frontage. As swans and ducks glide past, guests may also spot a variety of other wildlife, including kingfishers, peregrine falcons and the occasional otter. All eleven ensuite bedrooms overlook either the river or the gardens and are complete with modern facilities. The majority of the rooms have either King or Super King beds. Each room is individually decorated and reflects a warmth of character with either William Morris or Sanderson wallpapers and fabrics. Beams and fireplaces dating from the 16th century have been exposed in the original part of the building which was formerly the Magistrates Court in the 1500’s. There are also ground floor rooms available for less mobile guests. Wilton Court sits high on the Wye, next to the historic bridge into Ross. A ten-minute walk to the heart of the town, home to small shops, cafe's, galleries and antique emporiums, with the ancient marketplace at the centre of it all. But it is the landscape that is the real star around here and the valley in particular. Seven miles from Ross on Wye is the dramatic Symonds Yat rock towering above the river. Not only does it offer great views of the valley but is one of the best spots to view Peregrine falcons in the UK usually between April and August.

The original block (the west wing) was built in 1500 with the timber – constructed north wing added in 1700. What is now the River view Restaurant and Bar was once a courthouse while the room above was the Judges Chambers. Centuries ago the buildings cellars (which are now bricked in) lead through a passage way to the jail – now the nearby White Lion pub. A full English breakfast is served freshly to order and is included in the bedroom price. The award winning Mulberry restaurant and bar are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner serving a weekly changing market menu, a la carte lunch and dinner menus as well as traditional Sunday lunch. Dishes are contemporary British cuisine with a twist. The restaurant has won many awards including the AA 5 Gold Star Award, 2 Rosettes and a breakfast award, the only restaurant in Herefordshire to hold all three. Guests may enjoy the beautiful gardens with riverside views and outdoor seating. All bedrooms are provided with an abundance of accompanying touches (Kimonos, fluffy towels, mineral water and generous toiletries). Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in all rooms, as are flat screen televisions with DVD and free view. Guests may also relax in the library with its comfortable chairs and books to peruse.
