This Victorian town house hotel is situated in the Dee valley surrounded by countryside, rivers and mountain views. It is the ideal base for exploring Snowdonia, Chester, North Wales and the coast. Visit the best preserved and most romantically-sited medieval castles in Britain such as Harlech, Criccieth, Conwy and Caernarfon and Chirk castle. The hotel offers a range of en-suite accommodation including single, doubles, twins and family rooms all furnished with William Morris furnishings and have views of the woods or river. The spacious rooms have comfortable sofas, broadband access, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Children are welcome at the hotel and children up to the age of 15yrs can share a parent's room at no extra cost.
Built in 1888 as the family home of the Sheriff of Denbigh. The hotel retains many original features such as exposed beams, fireplaces and servant bell pulls. Full English breakfast included and served in the restaurant with views over the Dee. The restaurant serves a traditional British dinner menu with a choice of vegetarian options and all made fresh to order from ingredients locally sourced. A comprehensive childrens menu is also available. Please book for dinner on arrival. Relax on the terrace or in the peaceful Quarry gardens, with seating and parasols.
