The Cameo Hotel is a friendly and relaxed hotel offering comfortable accommodation, professional conference facilities, banqueting rooms for large and small events including weddings. Choose from a variety of different rooms types from standard doubles which are also suitable for single occupancy, to twins, superior rooms and executive suites which are all ensuite and have modern facilities. The location of the Cameo Hotel allows easy access into Ipswich town centre, the Marina and direct access onto the main A12 and A14 providing routes into Gt.Yarmouth, Felixstowe and Bury St. Edmunds.
The Cameo Hotel was originally a Victorian Country House which was converted to an hotel in the 1920's. In the 1960's and 70's the building was extended to the present layout, retaining most of the original house and all of the beautiful Victorian Walled Garden which is now used for Wedding Receptions and Cameo Afternoon Teas. Breakfast is included in the price and is made freshly to order and is served Monday - Friday 6.45am-9.30am and Saturday - Sunday 8.00am-10.00am. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner at the Wolsey restaurant where you can sit back eat and drink or sit outside and enjoy our wide range of food on offer, to be washed down with a local cider, ale or a nice crisp glass of white wine. Lunch is served Monday - Saturday 12.00noon-2.00pm, Sunday lunch from 12.00noon-2.30pm and dinner Monday - Sunday 6.00pm-9.00pm Where possible the hotel serves locally sourced products from our reputable Suffolk suppliers, including succulent sausages and mouth watering haddock. Large garden with outdoor seatings for guests to eat and drink or just relax. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel with 24 hour reception, 24 hour room service, Porter and wake up calls. Every room is ensuite with television and Freeview, tea & coffee making facilities, trouser press, hair dryer and telephone. The hotel also offers a laundry service and has facilities for children's cots and extra beds. Designated smokers area available. The hotel offers facilities for conferences, meetings, team building events, training courses and corporate away days. There is a range of business meeting equipment readily available at the hotel, and can hire in any additional specific conference equipment if needed. In addition, wireless Internet access is available free of charge throughout the hotel, so business communications can be maintained with convenience and ease.
