The historic farmhouse of Crocadon offers spacious and comfortable facilities set in a private rural location. The large kitchen is the heart of the house, with its large oak table, Aga oven, views overlooking the gardens. The farmhouse dining room has an incredible staircase, large granite fireplace and an even bigger oak table to crowd around and enjoy breakfast, seating up to 14. Also situated on the ground floor is a drawing room with a television, open fires and a pool table. The farmhouse has a fantastic atmosphere with plenty of space to relax and spread out, plus quiet corners in which to retreat. The gardens are spacious and mainly laid to lawn, individual areas offers guests space for a range of activities, not least just soaking up the warm weather in the sheltered cottage garden. The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 guests so it can be hired for groups or individual couples and families. The rooms are large and bright and have fantastic views over the countryside. Bedrooms are as follows: Bedroom 1 - Twin Bedroom 2 - Double Bedroom 3 - Double Bedroom 4 - Twin Bedroom 5 - Bunks Bedroom 6 - Double Bedroom 7 / Snug - is a ground floor room with a comfortable sofa bed ideal for anyone who needs a ground floor accommodation, there is also a ground floor shower room opposite. Local attractions include Tintagel Castle and the local villages of Polperro, Looe and Cotehole where the tea shops serve the famous Cornish cream teas and Plymouth is only 20 minutes drive.

Crocadon was first recorded in 1306 as ‘Croketon’. The name consisting of the Cornish element ‘Cruk’, meaning ‘hillock or barrow’ and the English element ‘tun’ meaning ‘farmstead’. At this time Crocadon was a large and important medieval estate, owning much of the land around St Mellion. Guests have use of a fully equipped kitchen to prepare their own meals. Outside there is an enclosed courtyard and cottage garden which leads onto large spacious lawns overlooking the surrounding countryside. There are picnic tables around the gardens and a dedicated under cover BBQ and seating area. The house offers Wi-Fi, television, radio, books, pool, table football and table tennis.

Check In: 4.00pm Check Out: 10.00am Directions: Head south on A388 go through 1 roundabout and continue for 4.7miles at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Newport Square/A388 and continue to follow A388 for 0.3miles then turn left onto Wooda Road and continue to follow A388 for 0.3miles. and turn left to stay on A388. Turn right onto Exeter Street then left onto Tavistock Road and go through 1 roundabout and at the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Tavistock Road and continue to follow A388. Go through 6 roundabouts from 17.8miles and then at the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Callington Road. Go through 1 roundabout and turn left onto Liskeard Road the take the 1st right onto Callington Road go through 1 roundabout and you have reached your destination. Nearest Station: Saltash station is only 10 miles away and will cost approximatley £20.00 by taxi to Crocadon Farm.
