welcome to the imaginatively named Victorian villa built in 1865. It has been lovingly restored and every room is furnished with an individually designed four poster bed. Every effort will be made to ensure you are made to feel comfortable through out your stay. Savour that fleeting weekend in a romantic setting with precious moments amongst Sanderson print and fabric and several Victorian original features. A perfect location, being close to the centre of historic York with all its fascinations such as the Castle Museum, the Shambles and the Viking Centre, York University and the Barbican Centre. All rooms have TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, ironing facilities, hospitality tray, free WiFi and thermostatically controlled central heating. Please note: There is a minimum stay of 2 nights at weekends.
Built around 1865 still offering some original Victorian features. A full English breakfast is served from 8.15am to 9.15am Monday to Friday; 8.30am to 9.30am during weekends. A wide menu is available including a full hearty breakfast of bacon, sausages, eggs, kippers, cereals, toasts, fresh juices and tea and coffee. Any special dietary requirements can be catered for but please ensure you request these in advance. A secure, private, flood lit car park is at your disposal for the duration of your stay but please note that spaces are limited.
Check In: 12.00am to 6.00pm (no arrivals accepted after 6pm) Check Out: 10.30am Directions: From York train station, the guest house is only 10 minutes by taxi or you can take the number 4 bus to the second stop on Heslington Road. Walking will take about 20 minutes. By road: From the A64 follow signs for Selby and York and take the A19 slip road through Fulford. You will pass army barracks on the right and when you pass the traffic lights turn right into Heslington Road.
