Situated in Buxton, Derbyshire offering picturesque views of Buxton, centrally located with a wide range of facilities. Set in its own grounds with its own rosette award-winning restaurant. It is only a moments walk from the town centre and within easy driving distance of the outstanding places of interest and beauty within the Peak National Park, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Derbyshire Dales. There are 38 individually appointed en-suite bedrooms and five of which are situated in the Woodside annexe to the hotel. All bedrooms are equipped with electronic locks, safes, hospitality tray, hair dryer, trouser press, radio alarm, telephone and satellite reception televisions. All bedrooms are either twin or double with hard-wired broadband access from the bedrooms. There is a lift to all floors.

A Georgian period house originally built in 1830 by the then Duke of Devonshire as three houses. It was transformed into a hotel in 1860 when the railways arrived in Buxton and the town was beginning to prosper as a Victorian spa town where the great and good came to enjoy the therapeutic properties of its thermal spring waters. The restaurant has received many accolades for its fine food over many years. The dishes presented on the menu are prepared to order from the finest and freshest ingredients. All dishes are individually prepared and you can choose to have either one, two, three or more courses depending on your hunger or your budget. In addition to the Elements menu there is also on offer a very Traditional Sunday Lunch with many of the old favourites which often include the finest Smoked Scotch Salmon, Roast Scotch Rib-Eye of Beef and Steamed Sponges. Opening Times Breakfast : 7.00am-9.30am (8.00am-9.45am Weekends & Bank Holidays). Lunch: 12.00pm–2.00pm. Dinner: 5.30pm–9.30pm. Complimentary high speed internet access, room service, laundry, dry cleaning, fax and photocopying service. Breakfast in room.
