Manor Farm Oast was built in 1860, 150 years ago, as a third generation of Dutch design. With careful and sympathetic conversion the once farm building is now an award winning, 5 diamond three bedroomed guesthouse. One of the bedrooms is in the tower part of the house and is completely round. Close by are two award winning vineyards, where tasting is a must. There are many National Trust properties and beautiful privately owned gardens to enjoy within easy reach. Kate and Syd have won numerous awards for their sustainable practices and have been in the AA Landlady of the year final and won Small Business of the Year in 2009. Please note there is a minimum night stay of 2 nights on Bank Holidays.

Manor Farm Oast was built in 1860, 150 years ago, as a third generation of Dutch design. An Oast house was used to dry hops that were then used to flavour the beer. Oast in Dutch means 'chimney'. The oast which housed a furnace and the cowl was the top of the chimney. The area is rich in history, dating back to 1066, The Battle Of Hastings. After a great night's rest on king size beds your day will begin with an excellent breakfast with a selection of up to 9 fruits, cereals and a cooked breakfast using locally sourced products. The sausages are made on site using free range, organic pork. Manor Farm Oast is surrounded by 110 acres of apple orchards and the only sound you will hear is the owl or the badger scruffing his way through the trees or along the lane. The night sky is dotted by bright stars with no light pollution from towns. The house has a walled garden with beautiful laid out gardens with swing seat in the summer to enjoy the peace and quiet. The 1066 Country walk passes directly by the house in between Pevensey and Rye and is an ideal place to stay and explore the wonders and charm of Rye, Winchelsea, Battle and Hastings.
