A small family run B&B that is conveniently situated 2 minutes walk from Bournemouth Central Station, 500 metres from the nearest beach and about a 10 minute walk to the centre and nightlife and overlooks Knyveton Gardens Bowling greens and the adjoining Tennis Courts. Guest House facilities include 12 ensuite bedrooms, with free internet access and tea and coffee making facilities. Located opposite the guest house is a Cafe and private licensed bar that is open to Mayfield residents.

A continental breakfast is included in the price served 8.00am to 10.00am, and an full English breakfast is available which can be booked the night before. Evening meals also provided by Mayfield Hotel on request if booked in advance and a licensed Reception/Bar is located on the ground floor to serve alcoholic drinks. Open from 2.00pm to 10.00pm. Opposite is the extremely popular and well maintained Knyveton Gardens where the more active can play tennis or bowling at an additional cost. Surfers, cyclists and walkers are welcome and a secure brick constructed bike store is available free of charge together, with external washing and overnight drying facilities. Laundry facilities are available. Free parking, together with parking for 5 cars outside the hotel which is available on request.
