Oriel College is situated in the heart of the city centre, providing student accommodation close to all amenities as well as excellent transport links. Offering clean and comfortable single or twin ensuite rooms with a refreshment tray, towels and toiletries (towels are changed twice a week). Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings and pets are not allowed.

Traditional College in the centre of Oxford, founded in 1326 by King Edward II. It is the fifth oldest of the Oxford colleges. Breakfast offers a selection of cooked and continental options, served in the Dining Hall, except the Magpie Lane Rooms where a breakfast voucher will be provided. Breakfast is served from 8.00am – 9.00am Monday to Saturday, 9.00am – 10.00am Sundays. Nearby Restaurants, Cafes & Pubs: There are a number of restaurants, pubs & cafes, on the doorstep of Oriel College. Set in private gated grounds, there are 3 Quadrangles and the Island Site on the other side of Oriel Street. Guests are welcomed to relax and enjoy the outside space in the 3rd Quad only. No balls games permitted. Please be aware that most of the rooms are not ground floor level and will have stairs to access them. If a ground floor room is required, please mention this in the Additional information section of the booking form. Ground floor rooms cannot however be guaranteed.

Arrival information

It is kindly asked that you do not arrive before check in, as your bedroom will not be ready. On arrival please report to the Porters' Lodge which is manned 24hrs a day. If you need to stay in college past the check-out time you will still be required to vacate your room. A luggage room can be provided as an area to leave your bags but this should be arranged prior to your visit. Therefore it is advised to request this option in the "Additional information" section of the booking form. How to find us: By Air: From Heathrow airport (40 miles) and Gatwick airport (75 miles) there are direct coach services to Oxford. By Rail: There is a direct service from London Paddington and from Birmingham New Street. National Rail information line: 08457 48 49 50 By Car: From London – M40 or A40, Birmingham – M40 or A34, Swindon and Bath – A420, and Cheltenham – A40.
