Plumpton Court B&B, Nawton

Plumpton Court is a family run guest house in the small village of Nawton between Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside, in the foothills of the North Yorkshire Moors. The bed and breakfast has six rooms each with its own individual character and en-suite bathroom. Although Plumpton Court is not a big hotel, there is a fully licensed with bar and lounge. The property, built in the 17th century was a grocers shop from approx 1900 until 1970. It was then converted back into a cottage until the 1990's when it was transformed into a Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast s included within the room price and includes a full English breakfast made with local free range eggs, the host's homemade marmalade and an award winning black pudding. Sausages and bacon are from the local butcher. A selection of fruit juices, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, teas and coffee are also available. Resturants are available within driving distance offering varying cuisines for lunch and evening meals. To the rear of the property, there is a garden and small patio area, where afternoon tea and drinks can be served. Relax in the guest lounge and enjoy a bottle of wine from the well-stocked bar. Take the 3rd left into High Street (just after memorial tree seat on your right) Plumpton Court is 30 metres on your left. The nearest train station is Malton.
