170 Queen's Gate offers a variety of self catering accommodation in the centre of London, just minutes away from Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall, South Kensington Museums, Knightsbridge and is ideally located for touring the capital. We offer modern and stylish double bedrooms with private bathrooms and one bedroom ensuite apartments (available to book only by internals,Imperial College staff members) and two bedroom ensuite apartments (available to book by the general public). Please note there are no lifts and there are steps to access the apartment which is situated in the basement.
170 Queen's Gate, part of Imperial College London, is a stunning grade II listed Victorian town house, which was completed in 1889 by Norman Shaw, one of the most important architects of the 19th century. The apartments have fully fitted kitchens which include; hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The Eastside Bar and Restaurant serves a delicious range of 'gastro-pub' style dishes perfect for lunch or dinner, as well as a superb range of ales and wines, teas and coffees. Conveniently located on the ground floor of the Eastside Halls of Residence, this venue is a short walk away for any guest staying in 170 Queen's Gate. Eastside is open daily from 12.00pm to 11.00pm Monday to Saturday and from 12.00pm to 10.00pm on Sundays. There are many bars, restaurants and eating establishments located within minutes of the property. Close to Hyde Park and only a short journey from many of London's parks and gardens. Guests will receive complimentary tea and coffee on arrival and all accommodation has ironing facilities, free internet and telephone access.
Check In: From: 2.00pm Check Out: By 10.00am Directions for Key Collection: At South Kensington station, turn right into the subway sign-posted for the museums and continue for approx. 5 minutes until you reach the very end of the subway. At the exit, turn left up Exhibition Road walking towards Hyde Park. Turn left into the main Imperial College Campus, walk straight towards the other side of the campus and turn right down the side of the Lawn with the large Bell Tower on it. Enter the Sherfield Building, which is beside the Main Library and sign posted and the main security office is on the right hand side (room 108). The office is open 24hrs. Once you have collected your keys exit the Sherfield Building and go straight ahead along the side of the the Lawn and the Library and turn right at the top. Go through the blue gates and 170QG is on the right hand side. The gate via Queens Gate entrance is locked at 23:00 and opened again at 05:30. If you arrive outside of the gate opening hours you are advised to access the campus via Prince Consort Road pedestrian gates. Please note that central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7.00am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays.
