Senghennydd Hall offers self-catered rooms to individuals or groups wishing to come to Cardiff for business or leisure. Situated approximately 5 - 10 minutes walk away from the city centre and all its amenities. All rooms are single ensuite within flats of varying numbers and have access to a communal kitchen/dining area fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and ironing boards. Irons, adaptors and hairdryers are available from reception if required. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each bedroom and are replenished daily. Towels and bed linen are also provided. Within the compact city centre, you'll find unique attractions, top class entertainment and quality shopping with a difference. Innovative architecture sits alongside historic buildings and Cardiff offers entertainment for everyone.

Breakfast is available to purchase Monday to Friday in the Trevithick Restaurant just a short walk from the residence. Local supermarkets include Sainsbury's situated in Queen Street or Tesco on Salisbury Road. Both are within a five-minute walk. Numerous restaurants, cafe bars and pubs are also within walking distance and an information guide is available from reception. Free parking for residential guests and a launderette is available on site. Please note no televisions or radios are supplied. There are no lifts in the building - rooms are allocated over 4 floors. However, if you have any special requirements please write these in the 'Additional Information' section of the booking form. Cardiff University Visitor WIFI is available to guests free of charge. The service will provide access from a laptop or mobile device to public web pages and web-based email only; other services may not work. Details on how to register are located in your bedroom and kitchen or alternatively can be obtained from reception. In relation to the Smoke-Free Premises Act, the University is committed to making its premises completely smoking free for the protection of all its staff and students and has issued a policy encompassing government legislation. Therefore, smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in or on any University premises, except in designated areas. In University residences this includes all study bedrooms, bars, meeting rooms, grounds and communal areas. All members of the University community, students, conference guests and visitors are required to follow this policy while using University premises.

Keys should be collected from the reception at Senghennydd Court after 3.00pm. Directions from the M4 West Exit M4 at Junction 32 Follow the A470 signs towards the city centre Warning: Speed Cameras along the A470 As you near the city centre you will reach the Gabalfa Interchange/Flyover Continue over this onto North Road (still A470) After approximately 1 mile fork left at traffic lights (signposted Cardiff University) into Colum Road Continue past the crossroads (through traffic lights) into Park Place After approximately ¼ mile turn left at traffic lights into St Andrews Place After a few metres, pass under the railway bridge and turn sharp right into Senghennydd Road Take the first turning left before the School of Mathematics (large blue building) Follow the signs for reception Directions from the M4 East Leave the M4 at Junction 29 (signposted Cardiff E and S, then join the A48(M) motorway End of motorway , keep forward onto the A48, now entering Cardiff. A pre booked permit (permit not required on weekends) will be issued to you by email prior to arrival and you will be directed to the car park on site which is available for your use. For those travelling by train to Cardiff, Senghennydd Hall/Court is approximately a 20 minute walk from the Cardiff Central train station. Alternatively a taxi will cost around £6.00. Please ask the driver to drop off at reception which is situated directly behind Senghennydd Court and adjacent to the railway line.
