Tarr Farm is the ideal location to take advantage of all that Exmoor National Park and North Devon has to offer. Each of the nine rooms have been designed to provide every modern comfort. The bedrooms and bathrooms are generously proportioned and luxuries such as organic bath products, power showers and full size baths with bathrobes and towels and Egyptian cotton sheets included. Children only over the age of 10 years. The property has recently been awarded the AA 5 star Highly Commended Inn award and has a one Rosette restaurant with period features where you dine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Tarr Farm dates back to the 16th century situated just above one of Britain's finest clapper bridges, 'Tarr Steps' since Elizabethan times nestling in the middle of the Exmoor National Park. The Inn is committed to offering the best dining experience on Exmoor making full use of the abundance of excellent produce that surrounds the area; Exmoor lamb, Devon Red Ruby beef, fresh Cornish seafood, local venison and game all feature in the restaurant and provide real local flavour. The classic dishes are given a contemporary twist to create exciting menus with influences from around the world. For guests, breakfast at Tarr Farm is a great way to begin the day; choose an extravagant full English, try the famous Arnold Bennett omelette or the warming cinnamon porridge with Exmoor honey, or enjoy a simple Continental style breakfast. Lunchtimes are informal; everyone, including families with children and dogs are very welcome in the restaurant to enjoy a light meal or a hearty lunch. Those who’d like a simple coffee or a cream tea are welcome throughout the day. During the evening, the menu takes on a more formal style while the atmosphere remains relaxed. The wine list features over 100 French and New World wines. Larger parties may like to eat in the Oak Room, a private dining area that has its own bar, an oval table seating up to 19 and sofas to relax on after dinner. Corkage is charged at £20.00 per 70cl bottle. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Set in its own 40 acres just above the River Barle and only 7 miles from Dulverton through wooded valleys and across the open moorland of Winsford Hill with views of Wales, Devon and Dartmoor.

Arrival information

Check In: 3.00pm Check Out: 11.00am Directions: From the M5: Take junction 27 and then take A361 towards Tiverton. After approximately 8 miles, at the roundabout take the right exit onto the A396, signposted Bampton and Dulverton. Continue along this road until you come to a right turn, the B3222 signposted for Dulverton. Follow this road through Dulverton. Approximately 4 miles past Dulverton, take a left turning signposted for Tarr Steps and the Tarr Farm Inn; follow this road until you reach Tarr Farm Inn.
