Located in the Heart of the Vale of York, with easy access to York, Harrogate and coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough the property is ideally situated if you want the shopping and historical sightseeing of York or for visiting the many stately homes and National Trust properties. Situated on the fringe of the North York Moors National Park which is a walkers paradise with spectacular scenery, history and wildlife. Accommodation is offered in spacious bedrooms with period features, stunning King size feature beds with separate seating, large ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms and plenty of facilities to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Minimum 2 night stay at weekends.

The Old Rectory is Grade II listed and seized being a rectory some 60 years ago, the house was built in 1737 and was the rectory for St Mary Magadelene Church which is our 12th century church just down our lane. The many rectors that lived in the house, included a poet a peer and a inheritor of Benningbrough Hall which is now a National Trust Stately Home. A full Yorkshire Breakfast is included, as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, eggs benedict and a vegetarian breakfast. All produce is sourced locally and the eggs come from the properties own hens. The breakfast is cooked on an AGA freshly to order. All bedrooms are equipped with a King size bed with lots of fluffy pillows, flat screen television with Freeview and DVD player. Hospitality tray with bottled water, hair dryer, extra blankets and hot water bottles. Ensuite bathroom with luxury toiletries and towels. Internet access is available free of charge in all rooms. Guests may relax in the guest lounge with open log fire, and tourist information.
