Wycliffe Hall is a theological college and permanent private hall of the University of Oxford, located next to the University Parks and a short walk from the centre of Oxford, the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums. Accommodation is offered in single or twin standard rooms, many, but not all, with washbasins in the room, sharing unisex bathroom facilities. In addition there are limited superior/en-suite rooms available. All rooms are provided with bed linen and towels. There are no lifts in the building, and access to the reception is via steps. Unfortunately, due to a policy implemented by the University of Oxford, we are unable to offer internet access to guests. If you are expecting to stay at Wycliffe Hall while attending an event here, please contact the Hall on 01865 274200 or the event organiser to confirm if there is a promotion code to enter when booking.

Wycliffe Hall was founded in 1877 as a place to train evangelical clergy in the Church of England, and has since then expanded to take any student of theology. It started in the main part of the current building (54 Banbury Road), expanding to 52 Banbury Road, which was originally a convent, in 1883. The Chapel was added to connect the two houses in 1896 and is noted for its architecture and interior panelling. Other rooms have been added over time, including a dining room (now lecture room) in the style of a chapel in 1910. Breakfast is served in the hall and is included in the B&B overnight rate (unless specifically mentioned otherwise). A selection of cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit juice and hot drinks is available daily and either pastries or a cooked breakfast. Please advise at time of booking if you have any special dietary requirements. Breakfast is served at the following times during University terms: Monday - Friday 7.45am - 8.10am Saturday 9.00am - 10.00am Sunday 8.00am - 9.00am Breakfast is served between 8.00am and 9.00am every day in vacations. Guests are welcome to take lunch and dinner on weekdays in the dining hall (when open, usually in term time only). These meals need to be booked in advance, either with your room booking or by contacting the property at least one working day in advance of the meal to be taken, and cost £5 each. Wycliffe Hall has a private garden, complete with garden furniture in the summer months. There is a children's play area, which guests with small children are welcome to use. The University parks are a short stroll from Wycliffe Hall, with the North entrance located just across the road from the Hall. Parking: Free parking is available on-site for all guests staying in Hall accommodation. Parking is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Laundry: Guests have use of the Hall laundrette (cost £1.50 per wash, 50p for 15 minutes in a tumble dryer). Irons and ironing boards are available for use in the laundry. Guests will need to provide their own washing powder. Children: Children and babies are welcome to stay at Wycliffe Hall with their parents, but unfortunately we are unable to provide travel cots or any beds other than those already available in the room booked. If you are intending to stay here with a baby and bring a travel cot with you, please note it in your booking and we will allocate you to a larger room where available.
