200 best universities of Europe

British Education is still leading the European Continent: 45 of the top 200 higher education establishments of Europe are British Universities. University of Oxford was ranked as the best European University according to Times Higher Education. Second was University of Cambridge. Third and Fifth places went to other British Universities: Imperial College London and University College London (UCL) respectively.

For the rankings of universities, the following aspects were considered: quality of education, international students and teachers mobility, academic reputation, quotation of research papers, research return, education services level etc. The magazine also developed a new methodology of ranking, considering readers and editors’ opinions.
